The Belisar Gambit

PUBLISHED!

This book took much longer than I had originally planned, but I’m confident it came out better than I thought it would. I know, I know, that was a vague statement. It took me a month to write, then another month to edit (and rework, and edit, etc.). It felt great to finally hit the publish button for the Kindle/KU version. I still have to get the paperback version formatted and uploaded. I wanted to make sure the first book in the series went with a bang.

What’s Next?

I’m in the process of planning out book 2. I mentioned in one of my earlier blog posts that I didn’t have story ideas for the middle books (just the first two and last two books), but now I have ideas for each book in the series. The series will span 10 books (like the first series). Will it end there? HA! Probably not. The last book in the series could end the whole thing, or it could set things up for a third series of ten books. It all depends on how things are going when I wrap up this new series.

I have other potential projects that I’m planning (other books). Right now, I’m just in the planning stages of possible books, nothing is set in stone. I’m carefully watching the Amazon dashboard to get a feel for how well the new book has been received by readers (Kindle and KU sales). I’ll report back on what I decide to do when I get enough data to make a decision. Meanwhile, I’m plowing ahead with my planning. By next week, I should have two books planned. The second Daphne, Freedom Fighter book, and a new cozy mystery (which will be listed under my pen name, Elliot Droit). You can click on the link to go to the Elliot Droit web page and check out what’s there (if you’re interested in cozy mysteries). I’ll post something on that blog related to the new cozy series I’m planning.
