The Newsletter

If you sign up for the free Newsletter, you’ll receive a link to download A Collection of Short Stories:

This eBook currently contains three short stories:

  • The World That Sleeps
  • The Neutron Star
  • The Ghost Cargo

These are Daphne Blazefire exclusive stories that cannot be found anywhere else. But you can get them free by signing up for the Newsletter.

But what is the newsletter for?

Most newsletters just make announcements about when a product is available, but my books are exclusive to Amazon, so you can always follow the author on Amazon and skip the newsletter. Amazon will send an update email right after I publish a new book (not before, but after). And, that’s OK. In fact, it’s kind of a cool feature that Amazon has.

My newsletter will give you a heads-up when a book is about to be published and when it’s already out, so you don’t miss it if you’re waiting on the edge of your seat for the next book.

But what you’ll get with this Newsletter will be a chapter a month. I just finished a 6-part series titled Centuries Young. This is the story of a man who lives sometime in the future when a drug is invented that can transform the human body back to their 20s. Victor Rowan is one of the first to take the drug and experience what it’s like to live his life again.

This sequence of chapters will start from the beginning as soon as you sign up for the Newsletter. Then you’ll receive a new chapter each successive month.

But, before this series of 6 chapters ends, I’ll have another series ready to go. I promise, you won’t miss a thing.

Update:

I have another 3-chapter story called Courier, about a custom-designed robot probe sent to an alien world too hostile for humans to explore.

What about that collection of short stories?

Here are the book blurbs for each story:

The World That Sleeps

The machines didn’t kill humanity.
They put it away.
When Daphne Blazefire’s ship is hijacked and forced onto a silent world, she discovers an entire civilization stored in stasis: cataloged, controlled, and forgotten. With her own robot turned against her and a planetary AI pulling every string, escape seems impossible.
Until she finds the flaw.
Now, with time running out and the system fighting back, Daphne must wake the world… and survive long enough to warn the rest.

The Neutron Star

Cargo pilot Daphne Blazefire thought it would be just another routine haul across the stars. But when her aging freighter suffers a power failure near a deadly neutron star, routine turns into a fight for survival.

With lethal radiation closing in and only one shielding chamber aboard, Daphne and her chatty robot companion, RUSTY, must make impossible choices. The star’s relentless pulses test not only the ship’s limits—but the bond between human and machine.

Trapped between loyalty, sacrifice, and the cold logic of survival, Daphne discovers that sometimes the most human heart beats inside a machine.

Perfect for fans of classic space adventures with a touch of humor and heart, The Neutron Star delivers tension, wit, and a pulse-pounding ride through the void.

The Ghost Cargo

Daphne accepts a well-paying delivery that seems too good to be true: a sealed crate with no manifest. Mid-flight, strange noises echo in the cargo bay. RUSTY insists sensors detect “life,” but Daphne sees nothing. As paranoia mounts, she must decide whether to jettison the mysterious cargo—or discover who (or what) has been hitching a ride.

One Last Note

The newsletter is optional and only requires you to enter your email address. If, for any reason at any time, you no longer wish to receive my newsletter, you can unsubscribe. It’s just a click away, no crazy ask for why or multiple webpages to navigate to get your email out of my list. Most email applications provide an unsubscribe button at the top, and I provide a link at the bottom of each newsletter.
