Well, I’m running late on this book. I usually leave myself a lot of extra time to get a book finished. Unfortunately, it’s taking longer than I expected to edit this book. In this case, I’d rather spend the extra time and make sure the book is good than rush it out the door. So, I’m going to spend whatever time I need to get this right and then publish it. I could still make it before Christmas, but I’m not going to make any new predictions about when it’ll be published. I suspect that I’ll be able to wrap things up over the weekend and be ready next week, sometime. But then there’s the read-out-loud part that has to happen and could slip until after Christmas day.

The good news is that the word count for this book is over 70k right now, and I suspect it’ll be larger. I need to expand the ending. I already added two more scenes this week, and I like the story more than before.

So, if you’re waiting for this book to be published, hang in there. It’s coming. I won’t start any other task before this book is published. I’m too close to the final line to get distracted by something else.
