Desperate Action
It has been two weeks since I posted last. Where did the time go? I’m still working on editing changes to Desperate Action. Holidays are chewing into my productivity (I probably should have padded more time for that). The deck plans are done and available for free if you sign up for the mailing list. They are in ePub, Mobi, and PDF format. Feel free to download and print a copy, or put them on your Kindle device.
The book is looking good and I’m excited about this storyline. While my editor was collecting a list of “oopsies,” I’ve been reading through the rough draft that I wrote of Daphne and editing. The draft is about 50% done. As soon as I work my way through reviewing and editing the part I wrote a while back, I’ll continue where I left off and complete the draft. Then one final pass of editing and it will be off to the editor for review. Then I can add that to the freebie list of my mailer group.
Escape from the Abyss
I have another short story that I want to jam in someplace. Maybe between Daphne and the new year. The first book of the Escape from the Abyss series (The Demons) will begin in January. It will probably take longer than a normal novel because it’s the first in a series. Same reason that Desperate Action is taking me so long. Once the series gets rolling, the next novel in the series should go much quicker. This series is a bit more complicated because of the additional Tome of Revelations that must go with it. I have to make sure the details are in that book first and add it to my mailer list. Once it’s done, it can’t be changed (at least, I don’t want to change it). The rest of the books in the series will contain parts that reference the Tome, so it’s important to get that right before the series starts. Anyway, I’m pretty pumped about digging into this story. It’s going to be fun.
I’ll post an update when Desperate Action is about to be published. Being the eternal optimist, I am thinking it’ll be by this weekend, but no promises.
