The Read Out Loud part of this book is 50% complete. We will be finishing this up next weekend (July 15-16). That means that it will be published on the 17th or 18th (depending on any major changes needed). I have a list of fixes from the reading we did yesterday. None of the fixes were major (requiring rewrites of major amounts of the book). I had a couple of small scenes I added to put more context into the story and a few tweaks. I have about 15 remaining small fixes (redundant sentences, confusing wording, etc.). I should have that done today.

The plan is to complete the Read Out Loud next weekend since it takes a day to do 25% of the story. Michelle and I usually discuss the story as we go along. So far, she likes the story. After we finish reading the remaining half of the story, we’ll discuss if there are any weak points (don’t want to publish a snooze-fest). I can fix anything that falls flat or doesn’t make sense. I’m expecting there to be minimal changes based on what we’ve done so far. With that in mind, the book should be ready to publish next Monday or Tuesday (July 17 or 18th).

Then it’ll be on to book 3.
