Promotional Pricing

Desperate Action

I am lowering the price of Desperate Action to 99 cents for a limited time. How long this will last is anyone’s guess. I’m doing an experiment to see what the ranking of this book will go to, so I anticipate that the book will stay at 99 cents through January (at a minimum) and maybe through February. During this time, I’ll be making pennies or losing money on this book, but it’s all good!

But this isn’t about me. This is about you! Take advantage of this pricing, because it’ll go back to the normal price by March. This book is the Kindle version. There is no KU version, so the book will be yours forever. This means that you can buy it now and read it when you get time.

The Demons

The free giveaway companion book called the Tome of Revelations is my current project. I’m working on the rough sketches for the temples. It’s been some time since I did pencil sketches and ink drawings, but I’ve discovered that it’s just like riding a bike. The practice I put in as a young lad is still paying dividends.

Here’s a tiny sample:

These are just rough ideas and not a final product. The ink one is nothing more than a quick practice session that I did with sketching paper and India ink. I tried using the newer Acrylic ink, but it dries too fast. India ink is a tried-and-true, permanent but long-drying product. It’s easy to work with but more difficult to clean up.

I got this cool light for Christmas that I’ll be using to photograph my works (Godox ES45):

It has dials on the back that can be used to adjust the color as well as the intensity.

With the Christmas holiday in the review mirror and the weather prediction to go from rain (today) to hard-core snow over the next week (several inches for each day, yikes), I’ll have plenty of time to work on the project. Especially, since I have the whole week off until next Tuesday (January 3rd). Just to drive home how bad the local county thinks the weather is going to get, they sent this machine up to our neighborhood to make room for more snow:

Yeah… we’re doomed.

I’ll post more pictures of the temples as I produce them. I haven’t decided if I’ll publish the Tome before the first novel. I might hold onto it to release them both at the same time, or I might release the Tome ahead of time to give readers time to look it over before the first book is published. I’ll post updates as they occur.
