Progress…

Desperate Action

I just finished editing this book. Now it’s off to my editor for a final read-through. I have a deck plan for the Falling Star, the story’s main ship. I’m going to clean it up and provide it as a giveaway.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this story a lot. The last round of editing went fast because the story just pulls you in and grabs you. Well, at least it grabbed me! And I know how it ends. I hope that my experience with this story translates to my readers because I’m excited about writing the next book. There is a lot going on in this story without being overwhelming to the main plot. I have a lot of characters with their own agendas going on. Some I planted in the story with the intent of expanding them inside future books. Others I sort of tied off for now.

After I clean up the ship plan drawing and make it available, I’ll get back to Daphne. I should be able to hammer out the rest of the story before the end of the year. Unfortunately, I’ll have to re-read what I’ve already written and make sure I have depth in each scene as I did with Desperate Action. It’s a new technique that I’m applying to my writing (always learning). The good news is that I’m only 20k words into the story.

Once Daphne is edited and published, I’ll move on to the first book of the Abyss series. I need to do some pre-work on that series before finishing that book. Then I’ll need to add depth to that story before finishing the rough draft. I plan to finish The Tome of Revelations before the first book. If you’ve subscribed to my mailing list, you’ll receive it before the first book. Then you can scan through it before buying the book. When you read the book, you’ll stumble onto the Easter eggs I’m putting into the Tome. It’s going to be a lot of fun. Hopefully, by the time the first book is published, I’ll have a good idea of how The Traveler series will perform. If it’s good, I’ll switch back to the second book of The Traveler series and write that one. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I can flip back and forth between the two series and alternate releasing the next book for each. It’s going to be a lot of work, but It’ll be worth it.

Stay tuned.
