Editing

I’m deep into editing Stolen Property. I have the first pass edit of 42 out of 52 scenes. There are two scenes that are going to require more TLC. There isn’t enough punch and I’ll need to expand them. Overall, the work is progressing pretty fast. Tomorrow is a bank holiday and I work for a bank (well, technically, I work for a credit union). That gives me a whole day to work on books. Instead of editing, I’m going to take a break and work on the rough draft of a prequel book, tentatively titled: “Daphne.” The last time I worked on a rough draft on a bank holiday, I managed to get 10k words in. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I can produce that many words tomorrow. I’d like to beat that record, just to beat it (since it’s my record daily word count). But, we’ll see.

I still have not started on Supercomputer. I’d like to get the rough draft going before publishing Stolen Property, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. Not a big problem though. I’m going to try and publish Daphne before that book anyway. I’ll be giving away Daphne for free if you sign up for my newsletter. If you’re already signed up, the link to the book will arrive in an announcement. So, no need to go through the sign-up process again.

I’ll report back sometime this week to inform my readers of my progress for tomorrow.
