I’m currently working on a Q Mystery series of books. The first book was published back in November of 2024. My plan, in case you haven’t followed this blog, is to write four books (books 2-5) to complete the five-book set of Q Mysteries. My mystery genre writing status is posted on a separate blog because I needed to keep the genre separate from sci-fi. If you’re interested in the happenings of that blog, the pen name is Elliot Droit, and the blog is here: https://elliotdroit.com/
I only wrote under a separate pen name to keep the Ads and status isolated between genres. Otherwise, Facebook Ads, as well as Amazon, get the stats mixed up.
Anyway, once I have the last Q Mystery book published (I anticipate sometime in May), I’ll start the seventh Daphne book called Shadows in the Bloodline. I plan to order the cover for that book soon so I can put up a status on the right side of this blog. The blog looks naked without a status icon there.
I also plan to post entries on this blog every once in a while. Maybe once a week, just to make sure people don’t think I abandoned my writing career or something absolutely crazy like that. Feel free to post a comment, even if you just want to say “hi.” I get email notifications of posts made, and I usually get back the same day and reply to them.
If you’ve read the MacKenzie Steele series in the past and suddenly discovered that I de-listed the short stories, don’t panic. I wanted to reduce the clutter on my Amazon page. Especially my author page. It’s rare for someone to pick up a single short story and read it in KU. I’m probably the only person on the planet that has paperback copies of the collections. I never purchased the paperbacks for the shorts. If you want to read the stories (let’s say you stopped at one of them and wanted to read the rest), you can read them under their collected editions. The Patrol Ships contains the first ten stories, and Storm Clouds Gathering contains episodes 11 through 20. I’m going to adjust the price of the Kindle version down to $2.99 as well (because, why not?).
Don’t forget that RUSTY’s Memories is available in Kindle, KU, and paperback, and I’ll be back next week with a subject to talk about. Something new.
