I just completed the rough draft and first pass of editing. The Read-Out-Loud will happen this weekend. Expect Dust Bargain to be published Sunday or maybe Monday (if there are a lot of fixes).
I have a schedule set up for Memory War (book 2 of the Robot Whisperers series). It shows that I should have it ready to publish by the end of January. I have a few other irons in the fire, but I estimated this project conservatively. The first book of that series has been published, so I have all the difficult decisions made on how the characters and series will flow. Frozen Logic was also a difficult story to write because the first draft had some structural issues that required me to rewrite a section of that book. Dust Bargain went smoother because I had spent more time vetting the story idea and scenes needed before writing the rough draft. The only delays to that project have been the holidays and vacation time.
After Memory War is published, I’ll write the next Daphne book, The Missing Link. That will be book 9 of Daphne Blazefire. By the time I start that book, I’ll be thinking about the 10th and final Daphne book of the series. I should have a cover ordered and an idea of when the 10th book will be written. I haven’t decided if I’ll write that book right after The Missing Link. I may stop and write one or two Robot Whisperer books before that one, and I’m still thinking about Dangerous Cargo. Should I do a second release of Deadly Cargo, or not? We’ll see what happens.
