I bought the new cover for book 10 of the Daphne Blazefire series. I’m still tweaking the blurb a bit, so I might add or remove parts depending on how the story is planned (though I hope to put the blurb parts in Act I, so if you think I’ve spilled the whole story… nope).
For those who haven’t followed the blog, I plan to publish The Missing Link (book 9) at the end of March or the first week of April. It takes me two months (well, somewhat less) to write, edit, and publish a Daphne book. That means that To End the Silence will be published around the end of May, but that one might slip a bit late.
Details, Details!
OK, so I work for a credit union as a software engineer, and we have a huge system switch-over occurring on the last day of May. Bug cleanup will certainly go into June, and all the employees have been warned (for months now) that we’ll be putting in some extra hours. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that my writing time won’t get chewed up by overtime, but I’m going to just plan for that book to be late. I’ll post here as I go along if I get behind. For the current work in progress, I’m already 4,000 words ahead of schedule, but that’s pretty normal for me. Get ahead in the first few weeks, then drop back, then get ahead at the end.
OK, I guess this book isn’t going to write itself… so back to my writing desk!
Oh yeah. Here’s a large version of the new cover:
