It has Begun!

I just wrote the first scene for Shadows in the Bloodline. We are 3/4 done with the Read-Out-Loud of Novis Terminal and plan to finish it by Saturday. So far, most of the issues identified with Novis Terminal are minor. There are a couple of scenes that I might have to rework a little, but nothing that would hold up the book too much.

Anyway, I officially kicked off Shadows in the Bloodline and will be working on the rough draft until it’s done. My ballpark estimate is to have the rough draft completed by mid-July. That means it’ll be ready for publishing in Early August.

I still haven’t made any plans for the future, even though I took a minor detour by writing a second edition of Novis Terminal. The KU for the old Novis Terminal ends today (May 15th, 2025), and the book has been archived (though it still shows in the list of books for the Daphne Blazefire Chronicles). I’m not sure if it’ll disappear from Amazon the moment it comes off KU, but I plan to take it out of the series and insert the new one there. I suspect the hand-off for this will be a bit messy. Hopefully, it won’t mess up anyone’s reading enjoyment.

What about the original book? Well, for that, I’ll put it somewhere where you can download it for free and read anytime. I know what it’s like to read a book, then not be able to find it again when you really want to re-read it. Most readers who have not read the series will never bother with it, because they’ll start with the new version. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that people like the new version as much as I do.

Only time will tell…
