Elliot Droit, Q Mystery Series/Daphne Blazefire
Right now, I’m wrapping up book 3 of the Q Mystery Series under my pen name, Elliot Droit. I still have two more books after that one to publish, and I am on schedule to publish a book a month. That means that the last book in that series will be published by the end of April. As soon as I’m done with the five-book cozy mystery set, I’ll switch back to Daphne Blazefire and start writing the rough draft for Shadows in the Bloodline. I have not completed the outline for that book, but fear not! I will have it done pretty soon. I have Act I outlined, and I keep pulling out the Scrivener document and noodling on how the story will go. This particular story will follow a thriller-like genre theme. Of course, the genre is Sci-Fi, but I guarantee it’ll be action-packed.
I have all of my covers lined up, and the slots are created in my Amazon dashboard. There is no fear of the titles being changed because I have them locked in (If my titles clash with another author, Amazon notifies me).
Other Ideas
Currently, I don’t have any other publishing dates planned, and no other books on the horizon. At least, I don’t have them set in stone. As I’ve mentioned before, once the Q Mysteries are published, I will turn on the Facebook Ads for that series and analyze their performance. No matter how well or poorly they perform, I’ll be writing Shadows. That book will probably take me two months, which will allow me enough time to get a good read on how the cozies are going to sell. Once Shadows is ready, I’ll create a new Ad for that book as well to see how two new Daphne books perform together. RUSTY’s Memories looks good, but that one book is not profitable by itself, and the first five are dragging the series down. But, there’s a possibility that Shadows with RUSTY’s Memories will be profitable (if Shadows performs like RUSTY’s Memories currently performs). If that happens, I’ll entertain the idea of creating a second release of each of the first five books. I already put together an outline for Novis Terminal that looks good. If I can apply my new writing skills to the old books and change the stories a bit, they’ll be hot sellers like RUSTY’s Memories. If the Q Mysteries takes off like wildfire, then I’ll have to alternate between the cozies and Daphne. Two hot-selling series, ah, if only I had that problem.
